Cameron is a final year Master of Science (Ecosystem Science) student investigating how recent fire severity influences fire hazard in regenerating forests, along with testing the potential of remote sensing to assess this hazard. Cameron joined FLARE in 2019 after completing a midlife undergraduate science degree instead of buying a sports car. He works part-time in an unrelated field to fund his studies (and family) and is keenly interested in sustainable transport policy. Cameron considers himself an avid MAMIL (middle-aged man in lycra) and is looking forward to getting on his bike again once his project is finished!
