Dr. Jamie Burton

Research Fellow

Jamie is a fire scientist interested in landscape flammability. She is particularly interested in understanding what drives flammability at a range of spatial scales, using a mixture of laboratory and field methods, to better predict flammability. Jamie submitted her PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2022. Her PhD involved using existing datasets, laboratory and field experiments to better understand the factors which influence litter bed flammability. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys sewing, crochet, gardening and taking her dogs for walks.
