Julio Najera Umana

Research Officer

Julio is based at our Creswick Campus, assisting with the day-to-day operation of research projects by providing professional and technical support to lead scientists and postgraduate students. Julio’s main focus is on projects that partner with the Department of Environment, Landscape, Water and Planning, such as: Landscape Carbon and Water, Landscape Decisions Support System, and Forest Biodiversity and Community Dynamics. He completed his degree as an Agriculture Engineer in 2006 at the University of Costa Rica, with a major in tropical plants and conservation of terrestrial ecosystems. Since early age, Julio has been in love with orchids, arts, the Caribbean, and hammocks.
