Micro Certificates for Professional Development

Micro Certificates

The Building in Bushfire Prone Lands series explores how effective building design can make living in fire-prone landscapes more sustainable and provides a comprehensive understanding of how buildings respond to bushfire in a planned environment. It has been developed in consultation with The Fire Protection Authority Australia (FPAA) and aims to equip you with the skills to apply for Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) Level 1 Accreditation.

The series also provides a pathway into our Graduate Certificate in Bushfire Behaviour and Planning, where the four micro-certs are recognised as a micro-qualification which is equivalent to the subject Building Behaviour in Bushfires (EVSC90023).

Subjects include:

Urban design for bushfire-resilient homes

Assessment of bushfire exposure

Bushfire development standards

Enhancing bushfire assessments
