Brendan Holyland

Research Assistant

Brendan is a research fire behaviour analyst focusing on spatial analysis and wildfire risk. He completed a Master of Ecosystem Management and Conservation at the University of Melbourne in 2021 where he developed a range of skills in risk and spatial analysis. His masters research focused on the development of near real-time wildfire reconstruction method, utilising data from the 2019/2020 Black Summer wildfire season. He is passionate about improving our capacity to respond to future wildfires in a socially and environmentally responsible way.  In personal life, Brendan enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and a good fire-pit with friends.
