Sarita is a PhD candidate investigating the impact of fire regimes on plants, especially understory plant communities. She is examining the effects of fire through systematic reviews and the collection of field data. She is also interested in simulation modelling to predict how understory plant communities respond to future fires. Sarita has completed a Master of Science in Biodiversity and Environmental Management (BEM) from Nepal with research in the “Changing climate yet healthy forest stand of Tsuga Dumosa in Temperate zone of Central Nepal”. She has a keen interest in hiking and travelling, especially nature travelling.
